Subway Routes?

Dear all

we woold be truly gratefull if someone could give some feed back

Subway Routes?

Not sure what feed back you are after but it all sounds OK to me.

Thing to remember is to try and NOT do/see too much.

You mention Subway routes.....http://www.nycsubway.org/maps/route/ should give you a good idea of where things are.

Dear Spartak,

Your itinerary sounds manageable. The Brooklyn Bridge is a 10 minuet walk from the Century 21 store. Dress in layers because it is windy and cold on the bridge. If you do cross over into Brooklyn and have the energy, an additional 10 minuet walk will get you to Junior锟斤拷锟絪 Restaurant for the famous cheesecake.

Also, I have been to a few good restaurants near to where you are staying because I once worked in the BMW building at 57th %26amp; 10th Ave. I would suggest checking out the following:

Bello - 863 Ninth Ave. (56th St.)

New York (212) 246-6773

Puttanesca - 859 Ninth Ave. (56th St.)

New York (212) 581-4177

Uncle Nick%26#39;s - 747 Ninth Ave. (bet. 50th %26amp; 51st Sts.)

New York (212) 245-7992

Le Madeleine (My favorite - It is best to go after the theater crowd leaves to make an 8:00 PM curtain)

403 W. 43rd St. (bet. 9th %26amp; 10th Aves.)

New York (212) 246-2993

Welcome

Dear Spartak,

The C %26amp; E train lines are near to where you are staying. You can take them to get to the sites you noted on your itinerary. The station is at 50th Street %26amp; 8th Avenue. Take the E to the last stop (World Trade Center) to visit Ground Zero, Century 21 and St. Paul锟斤拷锟絪 Church or you can take the C and get off at Chambers Street.

After seeing those sites, it is just a short walk to the Brooklyn Bridge (BB). If you don锟斤拷锟絫 want to walk back over the BB you can pick up the C train at the Jay Street Borough Hall station. It is a 5 minute walk straight off the end of the BB on to Jay Street.

You can also take either the C or E train to the 34th Street station. This station puts you in midtown; in the vicinity of Macy锟斤拷锟絪, the Empire State Building, the Main Post Office and Madison Square Garden.

Enjoy your visit,

ATreeGrowsinBrooklyn

Also, if you go to www.mta.info, that is the official Metropolitan Transit Authority site, and you can see all the subway info.

If you can squeeze some extra time out of Friday, Take the Staten Island Ferry over to Staten Island and Back. Stay on the RIGHT side GOING and the LEFT SIDE coming back. You will get a FABULOUS VIEW of the SOL for hardly any money at all. I think it takes about 20-30 min each way. I just read on another site that it is FREE, but even if they charge a minimal amount, its world the ride.

Also DOWNTOWN is the Museum of the AMerican Indian and that is FREE.
