UK Members - Any cheap flights going to NY this summer?

I%26#39;ve been trying to find some flights going to NY in July/August time but they all seem to be around 锟斤拷600?!

Just wondering if anyone else had any luck finding any cheap flights during these times?

I%26#39;ve visited twice during July/August and because of the school holidays etc the flights are always costly, even if you book way in advance. We got reasonable flights one October, but that doesn%26#39;t suit everyones holiday plans.

get a cheap flght from Stansted with Ryanair to Shannon or Dublin and fly with Aer Lingus from there. www.aerlingus.com

Flying with KUWAIT AIRWAYS. Leaving on Monday, July 25, 2005, and returning on Thursday, August 04, 2005.

We used them and Kuwait Airways in December. Excelent service from agents and nothing wrong with airline, except some TV%26#39;s don%26#39;t work in the seat backs.

Sorry that%26#39;s in GBP. I looked again for Saturday - Saturday flights and got the same price.

I agree with %26#39;Been there done that%26#39;s%26#39; advice. I have researched tons of various prices and Aer Lingus come out best each time.... for July a flight will cost you approx 230 euro each way, that%26#39;s about 160 stg plus taxes (very rough guess!). You can get a flight to Shannon with Ryanair, as suggested or cheaper again, Easijet from Gatwick or doing incredibly cheap fares these days to Shannon... some as low as 锟斤拷8 sterling for July. Shannon%26#39;s a good airport to leave from too - great facilities when you%26#39;re waiting around and also you%26#39;ll go through Immigration BEFORE you fly to NY, rather than facing it when you get there.

Debs thats 320 GPB return plus Ryanair fare. Ryanair are rarely cheap in school holidays. So direct from Heathrow with Kuwait would be about 100 GBP cheaper

I remember when we flew to NY in August with Virgin Atlantic and the prices must have been only about 锟斤拷300-锟斤拷400 per person. However that was before 9/11.

Prices seem to be starting from 锟斤拷575 now, I guess I might try flying in a cheaper season - October prices seem to be reasonable..
