After the show

My wife and I will be travelling to NYC on Good Friday and staying over the Easter weekend. We have tickets for Chicago on the Sunday, show starts 18.30. Can anyone recommend a good restaurant near to the Ambassador Theatre to eat about 21.30.

After the show

Excellent restaurants nearby! West 46th St. between 8th-9th Aves. is known as ';Restaurant Row,'; because of all the places that cater to pre- and apres-theater dining. My favorites are: Orso -- Excellent Italian food in a pretty, small, rustic, pink marble room

Joe Allen -- American cuisine (and great burgers) and the famous celebrity hang-out. Sort of an upscale pub atmosphere, very casual. Half the cast of the show will probably be there. (By the way, Joe Allen also owns Orso, and that%26#39;s the #2 celeb spot in the neighborhood.)

Becco -- Italian, nice townhouse setting, all-you-can-eat 3-pasta special for $21.95. Terrific $25 wine list. Can get a bit crowded.

Lattanzi -- yet another Italian. Also gets a bit crowded but the enclosed garden is very nice.

Firebird -- the most elegant place on the block, this multi-level townhouse serves Russian food in a gorgeous setting. There%26#39;s also a lounge.

There are lots of other nearby places too. You will need reservations!
