Big Feet

Hi there.

I am coming over for a week and have been avidly checking into this message board. It is wonderful with some fab advice. However my research on this particualr area has been ratehr fruitless.

I have rather larger feet ( I am A UK Size 9/10 Women%26#39;s which is a European 43) Does anyone know any where in NYC which stocks shoes and boots for my large feet?

Thanks

Hi Skipster

I%26#39;ve had luck (large feet too!) at Saks Fifth Ave, as well as Barney%26#39;s, and a store called Tootsi Plohound (they have at least 3 locations...more funky than conservative styles).

Saks...Fifth Ave at 49th St., Tootsi Plohound...Fifth Ave at 20th St. (also 57th St. near Park Ave), Barneys...Madison Ave at 60th. This is just a start...you can also go to http://www.citidex.com/ and search women%26#39;s shoe stores (many have websites). Happy shopping.

Thanks Brooklynnite - that is fab!

Just visiting this thread but your post caught my eye. I have wide feet and so, unfortunately, does my poor daughter. But we both love nice, comfortable stylish (trendy even) shoes.

There is a store called Avenue For Women. They sell shoes in larger sizes and widths. (They are also a clothing store for plus size women.) I have only been to the Avenue in Connecticut and in Woodbury Commons (they have an outlet shop there.)

According to a google search there is an Avenue for Women located at 711 Third Avenue (near E. 45th St.).

Hi,

I have big feet too (uk 9) i found that Nine West in the USA does US size 11, which was great, also there was a brand called %26#39;naturaliser%26#39; which did 11s. Not sure what your style is but for trainers i found that both Sketchers and Nike did big womens sizes - which you cant get over here. Its so annoying, cant shoe manufacturers see there is a demand?!

It%26#39;s hard to find shoes for wide feet--in the US, most shoe manufacturers think that all women have medium width feet. That said, there is a store called ';Tall Size Shoes'; at the corner of W. 35th and 5th Ave. Also, if you find ';Easy Spirit'; shoes anywhere, they come in different widths.
