Restaurant/Bar Advice - Group of 10 in NYC

A group of ten Canadian friends will be in NYC for a long weekend in August. We%26#39;re staying in Chelsea, and will be getting together for dinner/drinks on Saturday.

We looking for a funky restaurant that ';turns into'; a bar, so we can stay all night. Dancing would be nice but not essential (avg. age = approx 30 yrs). Other needs:

- takes reservations

- not too expensive

- no ';beautiful'; people

Since you%26#39;re staying in Chelsea, you might want to have a look at Moran%26#39;s on 10th Avenue corner of 18th Street. It%26#39;s in a landmark building from the 1830%26#39;s, serves wonderful food delivered by pretty Irish waitresses with brogues so thick they sound like they arrived here from Dublin 10 minutes ago, and it has a large and active bar. No music that I know about and no ';beautiful people.'; (Well, maybe one or two couples but the police frown on shooting these people. I don%26#39;t know why.).

Don%26#39;t know their reservations policy but since you%26#39;re a group of 10 and you%26#39;re not going until August you have plenty of time to check it out.

I like the Grammercy Tavern for this kind of stuff.
