woodbury common transport

Thinking of fitting in a trip to woodbury common.

Read about the bus service from port authority bus terminal.

Just wondering what a cab would roughly cost as there are three of us.What do you think?

Or should we just stick with the bus?

Thanks again for any replies, this site is amazing!!!

Hi, the Gray Line bus works out at 20GBP a head so a tenner each way per person on the current exchange rate. It took us around 45 minutes to get there so we didn%26#39;t consider a cab but I would also be interested to know how much one would be as we are going back in a couple of weeks. Sorry this doesn%26#39;t really answer you question but it will give you a comparison. PS It is definately worth the visit, even paying the full 20 pounds you make this up and more very easily.

I would think you would be talking of about at least $100 each way.

I think there is a book of discount coupons that you get when you travel on the bus. I dont know how good these coupons are but these may not be available if you travel by taxi and I dont know how difficult it would be to get a taxi home,

cheer,waterford and coxy.

Think we%26#39;ll stick with the bus, sounds like too much messing otherwise.

Are they o.k with the amount of shopping you buy-spacewise on the bus??

I didnt go to Woodbury when I went to NY in November. Went to Jersey Gardens but will definetly be going on my next visit however, 2 girls in our party did go and they ended up buying big suit cases in Woodbury to bring home all their purchases. And when I say big I mean big they were the biggest ones we had in our group coming home.

Yes - there was plenty of room on the bus. We had so many bags you would not believe. We had no problem at all, just had to buy another case to take all the goodies back home!

We went to Jersey Gardens rather than Woodbury but it depends on what your looking for.

NYC has so many stores offering discounts that you might find you do not have to move out of Manhatten.

Also remember there is no tax to pay on certain items in New Jersey!!

Hi,

When you go to buy your ticket at Gray line ask for a ticket without the vouchers - should be 锟斤拷28 instead of $36 each. Then go to the Woodbury Common web site www.premiumoutlets.com join the VIP club (only your email address) and you can print out a free voucher to hand in at the information desk for the voucher book - its exactly the same voucher book!!

It is useful if you are spending enough

Sarah

Wow Thanks everyone great info.

Will do as you say regarding coupons..

Can%26#39;t wait.Having trouble sleeping now with excitement and have 12 days to go before we set off.

Will be brilliant...

I have a black belt in outlet shopping, and Woodbury common is the best. Jersey gardens doesnt even come close. My son lives in NYC, so when we come over every six months, we hire a car for the day to go to Woodbury common. Its easy, cheaper than the bus if there is 3 adults and and flexible as you can leave early, be there for 10am opening and not worry about bus schedules. you can return the car late the same day, so look into this option. Believe me it is not difficult !
