1/2 week rentals

I am looking to rental a condo or house from June 17 to the 20th. I will be my husband and myself. I dont care where we are as long as we are on the island. I am have problems finding rentals for half weeks. We have a large house rented for the week of the 20th and just want to get there and unwind before the family gets there. Does anyone have any ideas?

You will need to look into getting a hotel for a short stay, if you want to plan ahead this far in advance. Otherwise, you can try contacting rental agencies about 2 weeks before to see if there are any homes available. Most rental agencies will not rent out partial weeks until just before the arrival date.

1/2 week rentals

I am not sure whaty island you want to be on, Hatteras is an island but they have limited condos. Corolla to South Nags Head is not an Island although I hear people call it that a lot. Roanoke Island (Manteo) is an island but limited condos there to. Pirates Cove and Shallowbag Bay come to mind over there.

If you are looking in the Duck to Nags Head area, rental companies are not going to allow you reserve a partial week this early in that time period because it is likely they will rent it for a full week and they want to give it all the time possible to do so. Many owners do not even allow their property to be rented for partial weeks, but those are usually in the off seasons. You will pretty much need to wait until the Monday of the week you are looking to come before you can reserve one. There is normally a 3 day minimum so you may not save as much as you think. You might want to just come for 5 or 6 days and enjoy yourself.
