which nyc hotel?

hi,

im new to this forum.

a friend and i are on holiday to NY may 05 and are looking for a hotel for 4 nights.

weve got the list down to :

Red Roof Inn Manhattan

Comfort Inn New York

Stanford Hotel

basically, we want to spend about $160/night, looking for 2 beds, private bathroom, and a clean hotel.

any suggestions about those hotels or any others in that price range would be appreciated.

Russell---I haven%26#39;t stayed in any of the hotels you mention. My suggestion to you would be to read the reviews posted on this webpage. That way, you can come to an informed decision. Use the search link here and type the hotel name into it.

You might check out The Lucerne on the Upper West Side. Good rates, great neighborhood, easy access to everything including Central Park, Theater District and Shopping. A block from the subway. Wonderful service. Very clean, private baths, room-based climate control, windows that open. Give them a call to get the best price.

The Upper West Side is the best location, IMHO. The Lucerne is wonderful, but it%26#39;d be out of your $160 range. There are budget hotels nearby. Compare the Beacon, Belleclaire, Milburn, Newton, Comfort Inn Central Park.
