Black and white postcards

This may sound like a weird question but does anyone know the best place to buy black and white postcards showing New York landmarks? My best friend is getting married in May and she is theming her wedding around New York so needs some images to use in her seating plan - can anyone help? I%26#39;m visiting NYC on 4th March. Thanks!

I got back from NY yesterday. There are 1000s of black and white postcards in all the NY souvenir shops. Also around Central park, and Battery Park they sell some wonderful pictures which are really cheap of greatblack and white scenes, on market stalls. You won%26#39;t have a problem finding them.

There%26#39;s no one place or best place...they%26#39;re all over the place. Just check the souvenir stands and shops in Times Square, Chinatown or just about anywhere tourists are likely to go.

Hi Stufi - im not sure where in Scotland you are but if you can make it to Glasgow, a shop called Urban Outfitters are selling beautifully packaged, large black and while postcards of NYC. They are really nice and I would reckon, perfect for what you need. If you cant make it to Glasgow, maybe you could phone the shop and they might send them to you. I think there are 10 in a pack and the were about 锟斤拷8.

There%26#39;s a shop called Paris that has tons of B/W images. They%26#39;ve got a few locations around Manhattan. There%26#39;s one on Columbus Ave. at about 80th St., and I think another on either Bleecker or W. 3rd in the Village. There%26#39;s another small chain of shops that sells lots of B/W cards, but offhand I can%26#39;t think of the name. I%26#39;ll repost after a cup of coffee, maybe it%26#39;ll revive my sleepy memory cells!

Try ebay !

As a hobby I collect antique postcards and there is a huge market for postcards on ebay - both antique and modern, new and used.

You can probably pick up a job lot of new york postcards quite cheaply (say average 10-20p per card).

Ebay even have a category specifically for postcards under ';collectibles';.

Happily I was able to remember the name of the shop -- it%26#39;s called La Brea. They always have a nice selection of B/W cards. Here%26#39;s a link with their locations:
