Album cover tour - Rock Junket...

Hiya...

My friend and I (both girls age 25) are coming to NYC at the begining of March, we love indie/rock n%26#39; roll...we%26#39;ve seen a tour advertised that takes you to where certian album covers were shot, we quite fancy it but I%26#39;m not sure if it sounds genuine?

Bar/club reccomendations are welcome too, we%26#39;re staying in the Chelsea area and some of our fave bands are The Strokes, Kings of Leon, LCD Sound System, Radio4, The Doors and The Clash...

Clearly, you want to go to Greenwich Village and check out the clubs/bars there (Rock %26#39;n%26#39; Roll Cafe, Kenny%26#39;s Castaways are two I%26#39;m familiar with from days when I booked a band that I managed there). Irving Place in Gramercy Park is a very popular place for new and existing acts. (Check web.) Chelsea is a great, hip area--galleries, cafes, quaint shops...FYI, it%26#39;s known for its gay population....but that%26#39;s not a bad thing!!!

Cheers geohab...u mentioned the Irving Plaza, we%26#39;re goin to a gig there on the Saturday night, u know of any decent bars near it?

There%26#39;s some good bars on 15th St., just down the block %26amp; around the corner from Irving Plaza. Irving is a great place to see a show...enjoy yourselves!
