Directions for Brooklyn Bridge

We%26#39;re staying around 74th Street on the UWS. Can anybody give me subway directions to get to Brooklyn? We want to take the subway there and walk back over the bridge towards Manhattan. Which subway stop do we get off at and where do we go to get onto the bridge once there?

Thanks for your help!

Directions for Brooklyn Bridge

Walk down to 72nd Street and Broadway and you%26#39;ll see a subway entrance with signs for the #1, 2, 3 and 9 trains. Enter and take either the 2 or 3 downtown. Get off at Clark Street, (about 15-20 minutes) which will be the first stop in Brooklyn and puts you right in the middle of Brooklyn%26#39;s most beautiful neighborhood, Brooklyn Heights. Walk down to the Promenade and check the views of Manhattan. To get to the Bridge from there, walk away from the river back towards the subway station. You%26#39;ll come to a very large street with what looks like a courthouse building opposite you. Cross the street and turn left, walking along the mini-park to Tillary Street. Turn right, go two short blocks and you%26#39;ll see the entrance to the Bridge on the left.

After crossing the Bridge you%26#39;ll run into the Brooklyn Bridge subway station. You can take the 4, 5, or 6 uptown to Grand Central Station, switch to the shuttle to Times Square, and then get the 1, 2, 3 or 9 back to your hotel.

With such great directions I%26#39;m sure we won%26#39;t get lost or off at the wrong stop now. Thanks for the directions back uptown also, we%26#39;ll need them. Thank you!!!!
