Outlet malls

I would appreciate, if you could let me know about a couple of major shopping malls and particularly the outlet ones around New York, and how to get there most conveniently.

thanks in advance

Outlet malls

The two that I know are Woodbury Common and Jersey Gardens.

WOODBURY COMMON: is about a 60 min. bus ride from Manhattan. Bus costs $35 per person. All major brands especially the end brands are located here. Each shop is an individual premises so you are outdoor going from shop to shop. Very cold this time of year.

JERSEY GARDENS: is about 30 min bus ride from Manhattan. It costs $3 each way. The brand names located at this store are more middle of the road. There are very few of the European designers located at this outlet. This centre is more like a shopping mall with all shops indoors. In NY there is a tax of 8.25% added to the price of all goods at the checkout. However in New Jersey where Jersey Gardens is located there is not tax on shoes and clothing.

I was in NY for 3.5 days in November and only went to JG. We got everything we wanted there at a very reasonable rate especially shoes. But on my next visit I hope to have a lot more time in NY and plan on going to WC this time round. Hope this helps and have a wonderful time and dont forget Macys you will get everything you could possible want there.
