Sofitel Privilege Card

We%26#39;ve been trying to sign up for one of these ';Sofitel Privilege Card'; online all week, but the website just gives errors, the start page is:

sofitel.com/gb/鈥f_pros_adh_acc.shtml

Then you clickon the on-line membership form.

We%26#39;ve emails them about the problem, but again, no response :(

The card programme is free and gives some useful extras to staying in the Hotels.

Anyone have one, or know an easy way to get one?

Well join the club - hopefully easier than obtaining a Privilege Card !

I have been trying for weeks to obtain a Privilege Card through the Sofitel website with no success.

I just tried the link above - it responded with the usual message - '; You cannot access this page directly... '; blah, blah, blah.

If you persist on the merry go round through all the Sofitel links - you end up where you started - still no validated card application. I also e-mailed to complain - with no response.

Quite seriously both the Sofitel Privilege Card application procedure - and the actual Sofitel.com website with regard to booking - are probably the worst designs on the net - they need to change their customer interface design team - my cat could do better.

However, I really like Sofitels, in particular the NYC and Chicago Water Tower so until they change things I will continue to book without the benefit of accumulating Sofitel points.

By the way - the problem occurs whether using Internet Explorer, Netscape or Mozilla Firefox browsers - congratulations to anybody succeeding !

What exactly does the card do? and can you use it if you dont book your room through the hotel? Lets say I use hotwire or orbitz can I still use the card?

you don%26#39;t have to book via the sofitel hotel chain or direct with the hotel.when you get the card ring up the hotel and tell them that you are a card holder and they will ask for your membership number which is on the card.ask them to put the membership number next to your booking so that when you go to check in they will see that you are a privilege card holder.you have a better chance of being upgraded if you are

a privilege card holder than if you%26#39;re not.you get a later check out time of 4pm if you need it and a free drink.at 12 dollars for a glass of wine that will be worth it in itself.
