Carmel Limo or Tel Aviv Limo

What are people%26#39;s experiences of these 2 companies?

3 of us are coming to NY for a week in November (thru Thanksgiving) and we%26#39;re thinking of getting a limo in from JFK to The Belvedere. Price wise they are similar.

Also, exactly how much are the tolls as they are not included in the price?

On the return back to JFK is it best to take a yellow cab or the limo again? We will have more luggage on the way home after all the shopping!

I think they%26#39;re about the same. I%26#39;ve always used Tel Aviv. The toll is $4 but you can avoid it by insisting the driver take the free 59th St. Bridge. Tip should be 20%.

I prefer Tel Aviv over yellow cabs.

I had a problem with Carmel Limo Service and I have found that thier Customer Service is non-existant. They do not reply to emails or telephone calls, and their customer service number is a toll number with an answering machine on the other side.

Their driving service was OK, but if you ever have to resolve a problem, feggetabouit.

We have just arrived back in England after spending 7 nights in NY. We pre-booked Carmel Limo on the net. We arrived at Newark an hour earlier than we had booked our car for but my husband rang them. They were there in 5 minutes. The car was lovely and clean and the driver was very nice. Going into Manhattan it was manic but the driver was very patient. The day before we left NY my husband rang Carmel to book the return journey to Newark. They were there outside our hotel at the time requested and the journey back to the airport was very pleasant. I would certainly use this company again we had absolutely no probs.

Have just returned from NYC having booked TelAviv for transfers. Booked by phone as online site would not let me book with my UK credit card -see previous posts!. Had been told that car would be there to meet us - had given flight nos etc.. On arrival, no flight delay but no car!. Rang using Ground Transportation phone and was promised car. Got ourselves and luggage to Area C - car arrived 10 mins later. Pleasant driver but car looked as though it needed a good valetting (had paid extra for ';luxury'; sedan';). Paid extra for tolls (didn%26#39;t know the bit about using the bridge instead of tunnel - good point Bettina!) and gave good tip.

On return, Telaviv car arrived promptly at 5.00am to reach Newark for check-in and 8.00am flight. helpful driver and smooth journey. Plenty of room in Sedan for four passengers, luggage, shopping and sons%26#39; Timberlands!!

Tel Aviv does tell you to call them as soon as you get your luggage.
