We%26#39;re thinking of taking our laptop with us on our trip as our digital camera only has a small memory - our thoughts are we can just upload the photos we%26#39;ve taken at the end of each day %26amp; leave the camera empty for next day.

any thoughts on this?

I%26#39;d buy extra memory from BH photovideo(we got some great deals last year) and there are loads of places that will burn your pictures onto a disc that you can then use on the laptop or PC at home. We did this as well, and it was quite reasonable price wise. Saves packing a laptop.

I have to say I was concerned about it getting damaged/stolen, although I did think, as our hotel has data ports, that it might be good to have with us incase I had any questions for this forum while we%26#39;re there!

I got a good deal from PC nextday for a 256mb memory card on the internet- cost 26 pounds and that included delivery!! (it was a fuji picture card)

Just pop PC Nextday into a google search and up it pops. The site www.cameras.co.uk is a good site as it shows internet sites for best buys on digital cameras and memory cards.
