New York for a day!

My family are sailing into NYC and flying out the following day to London, we have 24 hours to see NYC. Any thoughts on how we go about seeing the best of this city in such a short time?

New York for a day!

I would take in Central Park, shop a bit in midtown, have an elegant dinner, see Wicked, and stop by the Algonquin for a late night drink. But that%26#39;s just my taste.

Others might suggest a trip to the Village, the Empire State Building, a wonderful deli, a great dance club, and a late night drink at the Rainbow Grill.

There is so much to do in New York that it is hard to consolidate and prioritize the options down to 24 hours. Kind of like visiting London, which I love!

New York for a day!

You could go on the Circle Line Cruise around Manhattan. This is two hours and you get to see a lot of the attractions (SOL, Chyrsler Building, ESB, Wall Street, Ellis Island, Brooklyn Bridge) from the water and you get a lot of history from the guide. I would definitely walk in Central Park, and go up the ESB (queues are minimal if you go around teatime), and try to get to the Museum of Natural History if you have time, and walk down 5th Ave and just soak up the atmosphere and maybe go for a drink in Trump Tower or the Rockefeller Center. In the evening you could go to Times Square and choose a restaurant (Bubba Gumps is good, as is Planet Hollywood) and then go to a show.
