new jersey

I found the info for Jersey Gardens on Trip Advisor a few weeks ago and have now put it in my itinerary (will be shopping there next Friday!!)

Here%26#39;s the link to the directory of shops at Jersey Gardens.

The bus route is 111 from Port Authority Bus Station and if you go to www.njtransit.com you can download the bus timetable.

Hope this helps ... I will be back on 18th Feb so will let you know how it was. Trouble is, if it%26#39;s that good I might not leave you any clothes/shoes/bags to buy!!!

new jersey

It%26#39;s semi-true. There%26#39;s no sales tax on clothing in New Jersey. Other stuff does indeed have sales tax. However, keep in mind that travelers from the U.K. are apparently eligible for an 11% discount the major New York City stores make available--a better deal than New Jersey without going there. Plus, the 11% is on everything you buy in the store, not just clothing. See back posts on this board about how to get the discount. I do not know if the 11% applies in New Jersey.

Hi 666

Just back today after a great trip.......... fabulous city and wonderful people..............expect someone to offer help every time you take a glance at your map or subway plan!!!

Ruffian is right again ;) we took a trip out to Jersey Gardens on the 111 coach and quite frankly, unless you have a load of time to spare, I would stick to the Manhattan stores. There was nothing we couldn%26#39;t have got in Maceys with our 11% discount card and the city has such a great atmosphere which was lost when we hit Jersey Gardens (we were there early evening on a Thursday and it was so empty).

The trip took an hour each way and only cost a few dollars but I wouldn%26#39;t recommend it especially if you are short of time and need to shop!!!
