Personally, I prefer orchestra seats. When we saw ';Mamma Mia';, we were in orchestra row ';O'; on the right hand side as you face the stage and we were able to see just fine. Mezzanine seats are farther away from the stage, although they may be cheaper.

Unlike many shows, seating for ';Mamma Mia'; isn%26#39;t really critical. And, actually, the third row mezz is closer to the stage than row U. Both are center.

To be sure, go to www.playbill.com where you can view the seating chart for the Wintergarden. It will tell you which orchestra row the mezzanine overhangs, so you can verify that the mezz seats are closer to the stage.
