My husband and I will be in New York city next month with three children in tow. What is the best hotel for kids? The ones I am looking at require me to book two and three rooms. All three of my kids are under the age of 12, so I am not sure what these hotels are thinking but I barely leave my kids alone in another room in my own home; let alone in a hotel in New York. Doesn%26#39;t New York city have decent hotels that can accommodate a party of five?

You really ought to look into a short-term apartment rental. You%26#39;ll appreciate having a full kitchen with three kids! Take a look at A Hospitality Company:

A friend has used them and loves feeling like a real New Yorker! They%26#39;ve got 100+ apartments in all neighborhoods, many in doorman buildings.

I hope to come to NY for Christmas with my 4 kids and I have been very impressed with the Embassy Suites. The location isnt ideal it is situated near the WTC but they have very spacious 1 bed suites with a very good living area. You can get a one bedroom suite with 2 double beds in the bedroom and a double bed sofa in the living area. The idea of being able to put the kids to bed and night and to sit down and have a glass of wine in the living area really apeals to me. The price is very reasonable and I have been assured by a lot of people that it is perfectly safe to use the subway in this area by night. Hope this helps.
I helped my brother%26#39;s family of 6 find hotel accomodations recently - at the Surrey Hotel on the Upper East Side. You can view their website at affinia.com. They have 1 %26amp; 2 bedroom suites at reasonable rates (for NYC). They also have a few different locations. I know Surrey Hotel%26#39;s reviews on tripadvisor are good. Before you book another one of their properties, read reviews (but I bet they%26#39;re all nice)! By the way, the Upper East Side is a marvelous neighborhood, upscale and quiet, but easily accessible to midtown (the Lex Ave. subway line), and you can take a crosstown bus through the park to the Upper West Side which is equally nice.
If you check out expedia you have the option to put in 2 adults plus 3 children. It will then let you know which hotels will allow this option, even if the dates you want are not available, so you can narrow down your search. It is still worth contacting the hotel if no availability is shown, as they do not release all the rooms to the agents.
We had 5 in the Marriott Marquis last time. Last week we stayed at the Salisbury where the suites will take more than 4. Not expensive, great location, large walk in closets, fridge and microwave included (essential with children so you don%26#39;t need to eat out all the time). The $3 breakfast is good too. Friendly staff who don%26#39;t mind children!
